Degree in physics (University of Florence, 1983) ( 110/110 marks).
National Research Council (CNR) Fellowship from 1981 to 1983 at the Dept. of Pharmacology, University of Florence
CNR-Fellowship at the Institute of Quantum Electronics of CNR from 1983 to 1990, then researcher at the same Institute.
Researcher at the Physiopathology dept., University of Florence since January 1996, now Professor of Applied Physics at the School of Life Sciences
SCIENTIFIC RESPONSIBILITY:
Expert member for CNR in Italian Electrotechnical Committee. Group n.76 Laser Instrumentation and n.86 Optical fibers from 1993 to 1996.
Head of Microscopy Lab of Laser Medical Centre (CLAM), Florence, since 1994
